Kelly Bowman The art and enjoyment of craft brewing has been on the up and up for years around the country. And now, longtime Providence brewmaster Sean Larkin is spreading the love into Cranston this spring with a new brewpub called Brutopia. Larkin is already well known in the craft brew community as he brews for Trinity Brewhouse, Narragansett, and most recently, his own brand called Revival. You can find his work in almost all the restaurants and pubs around Providence and surrounding areas. Along with Sean’s talents, Wayne Gibson will be throwing down a barbeque styled menu that sounds sure to please. A step away from the normal brewpub fare, Brutopia is offering a range of succulent dishes, from ribs and baked beans, to creatively crafted sandwiches and burgers.
Since the place is being built from scratch, all measures have been taken to make sure it is one of the best brewpub experiences around. From the giant hickory smoker for Gibson, to the massive 20-barrel brewing system for Larkin to custom brew beers that pair to the menu offerings. The atmosphere also brings a lot to the table. A huge beer garden for all to enjoy is coming just in time for good weather. There will also be multiple HD TVs throughout the restaurant for everyone to enjoy the games. Even a specialty “Bourbon Bar”! (Can’t wait to see what that is all about). Brutopia promises to be a huge crowd pleaser for more than just the craft beer connoisseurs of today. Brutopia is located at 505 Atwood Ave. Cranston. Some of you may recall it as the previous location for Sharx Bar and Grille. Finishing touches are still on target for a late Spring grand opening. Be sure to check back with us, as we plan to run a whole series to keep you in the know about Brutopia, and all the exciting things it has to offer. |
