Oktoberfest Coming to Providence Waterfront

The official sendoff to summer -- and salute to the arrival of autumn -- has found a new home on the Providence Waterfront at India Point Park. Head on down for the annual reunion of friends enjoying the tastes, sights, and sounds of little Bavaria in Rhode Island. 

Seasonal brews, and savory German cuisine compliment the lively and spirited sound of music spilling from the Biergartens.

PROST PASS

Prost at the International Oktoberfest! This exclusive ticket grants you all-day and night admission to the International Oktoberfest, access to the open-air Prost Private Lounge with cocktail service, a private beer bar, a flight sampling of 4 Oktoberfest brews, the official Oktoberfest mug, and a bratwurst from the Brat Bar for an authentic German treat with all the fixings. Everything you need to enjoy the Oktoberfest is available with the Prost Pass. Tickets are $85 and quantities are VERY limited.

Join us Saturday afternoon at 1:00 pm for our traditional tale of the origins of Oktoberfest dating back to 1810 in old Bavaria. A special guest will officially get the beer flowing for the weekend.  Prost!

Stein Hoisting Event

Think you can hoist a full liter stein longer than anyone else? The Stein Hoisting Competition returns to the International Oktoberfest! on Saturday, October 17th.  We log everyone’s time to see how each person stacks up against your fellow beer lovers and the winner gets cool prizes and bragging rights!

Enjoy authentic German food including brats, sausages and Bavarian pretzels!  No into German food?  No Problem!  We have many other options to choose from including burgers, hot dogs, chicken, pizza, ice cream and other treats.  Check back for a list of vendors!

Q: IS THERE AN AGE MINIMUM FOR THE EVENT?

A: Due to India Point Park policies regarding alcohol and consumption the event will be 21 plus this year. Valid identification must be presented when you enter the event.

Q: HOW DO I GET MY TICKETS AND WHEN IS WILL CALL OPEN?

A: It’s easy to get your tickets! The fastest way to get your tickets is to order online and print them right at home. To order by phone call Ticketmaster 1.800.745.3000. To order in advance at the box office please click here for location and hours. Day-of ticket sales and Will Call will be available at the box office at India Point Park, located right near the event entrance, beginning at 10am on both days of the event.

Q: IF IT RAINS, DOES THE EVENT GO ON?

A: Of course! The event is rain or shine and you are welcome to bring an umbrella if it does rain.

Q: MY TICKET SAYS “GA”. ARE THERE ANY SEATS AT THE EVENT OR CAN I BRING A CHAIR OR BLANKET?

A: “GA” refers to General Admission. While we do have limited seating at our food & beverage areas, we do not have reserved seating at the event and we do not have seating in front of the stage. This is a general admission “standing room/festival style” event. You are welcome to bring a blanket or chair with you to enjoy the event however we do not allow them to be set up in certain areas of the event such as in front of the stage, for safety reasons.

Q: CAN I RE-ENTER THE EVENT IF I LEAVE?

A: Yes! You will be able to re-enter the event throughout the day and night.

Q: CAN I BRING A COOLER WITH FOOD OR DRINKS INTO THE EVENT?

A: While we don’t allow outside food and beverage to be brought into the event there will be plenty available for purchase. Additionally, we do not allow coolers or large bags into the event, primarily for safety purposes. Please check out our India Point Park policies page for more details.

Q: WHAT ARE MY PARKING OPTIONS?

Q: WILL THERE BE BEVERAGES AVAILABLE FOR SALE?

A: Absolutely! We will have an array of different brews to choose from throughout the event as well as full bars set up offering cocktails and other offerings. Check out the “What’s On Tap” section for more details.

Q: ARE PETS WELCOME AT THE FESTIVAL?

A: We love those furry friends, but unless they are certified assistance service animals unfortunately we cannot allow them inside the event.
