Bob Giusti While recently walking through the historic streets of Warren, Rhode Island (looking like a perfect small-town Christmas story), one couldn’t help but notice the newest edition to the antique and cafe storefronts that dot the landscape. Podsnappery is an eclectic collection of vintage artifacts mixed with new fashion accessories that look like they came out of a mid century boutique. The inventory evolves as it’s sold, but the decor remains consistently curated by it’s owners (Dave and Tori Caetano, he of Sasquatch and The Sick A Billys fame) to reflect their passion for all things cool and kitschy. Podsnappery takes it’s name from a character in a Dicken’s novel (Mr. Podsnap) who was "conscious that he set a brilliant social example in being particularly well satisfied with most things, and, above all other things, with himself". You can take a peek online at www.PodsnapperyRI.com, but a visit to 47 Miller Street will be well worth the trip to see if there is that certain piece that you (or some one you know) will want to add to your own collection of treasures. |
