Check out what's going on below: 3/18 - 990WBOB's Mondays On Blast @ The Spot 101 Richmond Street Providence, RI This week's edition of 990WBOB's Mondays On Blast at The Spot in Providence promises to be a good one with 13 Folds Magazine celebrating the release of their second issue along with Alma Mala, The Greatest Tribute Band In The World, The Jess Lewis Band and Malyssa & The Liberators performing and it's also Joe Ferro's birthday so don't forget to hit him in the face with your favorite pie. With comedy being hosted by funnyman Doug Key, a great atmosphere, wide selection of drinks, tasty food and cool pieces of art on the walls, Mondays On Blast is the perfect way to kick off your week. Along with the awesome music and comedy, it's all ages and it's also free. 3/19 - Javelin @ Great Scott 1222 Commonwealth Avenue Allston, MA Brooklyn indie electro dance-hoppers Javelin will be performing at Great Scott in Allston, MA on Tuesday for what should be quite the experience that will make you move your feet. Raleigh Moncrief and Birthdays will be opening up the show as well for a trifecta of awesome music. The fun starts at 9pm, it's 18+ and tickets are $10 at the door. 3/20 - 990WBOB's Battle Of The College Bands @ The Apartment 373 Richmond Street Providence, RI Wednesday night at The Apartment in Providence Night #2 of 990WBOB's Battle Of The College Bands featuring The Stilts, Clyde Lawrence, Brainfruit, Northeast Traffic, Transit Street Collective on stage competing to advance to Round 2 with last week's winner April's Fury. The festivities start at 9pm, it's all ages and it's absolutely free. 3/21 - Jose James @ The Sinclair 52 Church Street Cambridge, MA An artist who fuses jazz, soul, r&b and hip-hop together to create something truly amazing, Jose James will be performing at The Sinclair in Cambridge, MA for anyone who wants to get close to their significant other and be romantic. Jose also has a new album out called No Beginning No End that you should pick up at the show as well. Doors are at 7pm, it's 18+ and tickets are $25 to see one of the most talented vocalists out there today. 3/22 - Ravi Shavi @ 95 Empire at AS220 95 Empire Street Providence, RI Lighting up the Providence music scene like one of Kris Hansen's joints, Ravi Shavi will be headlining a trio of awesome acts at The Black Box on 95 Empire at AS220 in Providence on Friday. Innovative indie band Huge Face with two drummers and The The The Thunder will opening up the extravaganza that's guaranteed to be fun. It's always a blast when Ravi Shavi plays a show, us at 990WBOB are huge fans of them and you're bound to join us in that perspective right after they blow your mind to kick off your weekend perfectly. Show starts at 9pm, it's always all ages at AS220 and tickets are a measly $5 to see some of the best underground independent bands in New England. 3/23 - Lucero @ The Met 1005 Main Street Pawtucket, RI Memphis rock & rollers Lucero will be performing at The Met in Pawtucket this Saturday and they'll be turning the amps up to 11 and detonating musical bombs on stage. The most badass man in Rhode Island in Joe Fletcher and The Wrong Reasons will be starting the show at 9pm, it's all ages and tickets are $20.
