#TheWalkingDead - Carol the Killer - Spoiler Alert - New Character

Ohh the drama! This week's episode of AMC's The Walking Dead was a character builder at best. Questioning individuals morals in the zombie apocalypse. The only real question after Sunday's edition is to the ramifications of certain decisions.

What we learned

Carol! You crazy heartless bitch! She's been beaten, left for dead, lost her only child and now she apparently is a cold blooded killer. After taking sole responsibility for the deaths and burning of the two original sickies, Carol (Melissa McBride) finds herself looking to Rick (Andrew Lincoln) for validation. The two find themselves scavenging through town in search of food and cold remedies. Although this whole plot line was a little slowly drawn out, it did ring a few bells.

Carol professes her confidence in Rick as a leader and even directly lights a proverbial fire under the good sheriff's ass. "You can be a farmer Rick, but not just a farmer." said Carol. She went on to almost paint herself as the group patriarch. Justifying her actions with the old "good for the group" routine. Eventually Rick constructs his rebuttal. After the two have finished there rummaging he professes his feelings to Carol.  Scrutinizing her decision to kill the living. Rick goes on to tell her she is no longer trustworthy. Claiming she is now a danger to the group. He even went as far to banish her from the prison. A decision made maybe more for Carol's own benefit than anything else. After all Tyreses (Chad Coleman) vowed to kill the perpetrator of these killings.

Referencing the Rick's killing of  Shane (Jon Bernthall) as her defense. Carol ironically has become at this point the same calised person. Hardened like a loaf of week old bread she seemed only slightly saddened by Rick's decision.

Michonne (Danai Gurira) isn't angry anymore. Yes that was the kind of episode this was. After a sisterly chat with the still enraged Tyreese, she heeds her own advice. Letting go of her anger for the Governor (David Morressey) she vowed to no longer leave the group in search of the absent evil ruler.

This guy is by far America's choice as the most wanted to be eaten by a herd of walkers. Bob Stookey (Lawrence Gilliard Jr) opens up to Daryl (Norman Reedus) about his alcoholism. A real pity party. Claiming to be jinxed as his last two groups were all killed. Leaving him the sole surviving member. Bob almost gets himself killed wrestling with a group of zombies to retain a bottle of booze he commandeered. This put a huge riff between him and the road crew out in search of medicine for the sick back at the prison.

Questions we are left with

• How will Daryl react to Carol's banishment?

• Will the road crew be able to get back to the prison in time with the medical supplies?
• Is Rick on the path back to leadership?
• Remember the voice on the radio? Who was that? (hint read last week's blog)

Spoiler Alert - New Character

More than any of the  previous seasons, we have been introduced to a multitude of different characters. Most only last long enough to provide a gruesome entertaining death. However in the upcoming weeks be prepared to meet a new regular. A former member of the army and overall god loving American, Abraham will emerge as an important figure.  Set to be Rick's biggest ally and cohort this character will bring the show down yet another unpredictable spiraling road.
