It's finally here! My favorite month. The time of year with almost unlimited amount cook outs, cold beers and beach days.

I've dedicated my Top Five this week to the very best of July.

#5 - Independence Day - No not the holiday although we'll get to that in a moment. The 1996 summer blockbuster about an alien invasion on the fourth of July. This is a classic cheesy piece of American folklore. It's over played, full of plot holes yet it's such a guilty pleasure.

#4 The MLB All Star Festivities - This more then a star studded match up for World Series home field advantage. It's also an ultimate fan experience complete with a massive display of power and skill with the home run derby. Must see summer TV.

#3 Fireworks - Beautiful explosives illuminating the sky night after night. The sound of a salute whistling in the air, the boom of a fire cracker, the smell of the tnt. It's all about being a big kid. Whether your the conductor of your own backyard show or camping out for a public display, it's all the same old, clean American fun.

#2 Beach Babes - Who doesn't love the toned body of young hottie strolling on the beach? Nothing about the beach is fun for a guy. The hot sun and pesky sand are just not appealing to the average Joe. However the sights are more than worth the hardships of this July activity.

#1 The Fourth of July - The best of all the holidays, national or religious. No gift giving, just mass consumption of red meats, cold beers and tasty fresh fruit. Throw in a parade a pool party or two and of course the obvious, the day out of work.
