The Rhode Island Lottery partnered with RDW Group, a Communications agency in Providence, RI, to create a memorable new television commercial featuring one of TV’s most familiar faces and distinctive voices, the versatile John O'Hurley, promoting the PowerBall® game. See the commercial below While the actor is well known for his role as J. Peterman on Seinfeld, John is also a twice best-selling author, game show host, self-taught pianist, composer, and classically-trained vocalist who has performed on Broadway, with symphonies, “Dancing with the Stars” runner-up, successful businessman, investor, and host of the National Dog Show. In addition, John continues to star in Broadway touring productions of both “CHICAGO” and “Spamalot”. The thirty second commercial gives viewers a glimpse of O'Hurley's many talents while also highlighting his connection to Rhode Island, as a Providence College alumnus. All of the filming took place in Barrington, Rhode Island, adding another local element. Rhode Island Lottery was one of the original states to sell PowerBall, and it is one of the most popular games with Rhode Island players. "PowerBall is a game that has great appeal, so we're very excited to have had the opportunity to produce a commercial featuring an actor with such a broad fan base," said Gerald Aubin, Rhode Island Lottery Director. |
