What about Al Franken’s SNL cast mate’s defense of him, how would that have played if he were not a Democrat Senator? Psycho Sports #244 11/28/17 – In this hour of sports, insanity has hit the show. News broke that Eli Manning of the New York Giants was benched, which has Ryan screaming for GM Jerry Reese and HC Ben MacAdoo’s head and vehemently blaming them for Eli’s struggles this season (warning NSFW language). Though Tyler disagrees with the benching, he dropped the hot take saying that Eli is a below average NFL starting quarterback. Tyler stated he could name 16 other better starting QBs (even though he's yet to name all 16 QBs though), which brought the Pal on air to defend Eli Manning.
Also with this past game with Miami Dolphins, is it easy to say that the New England Patriots are far and above the best team in the NFL right now? Or are the Dolphins that bad? Tyler and Ryan have a hearty discussion on that matter. Joining the show first is Jake Marrocco of the Independent to breakdown the upcoming big college basketball game between URI and PC. Which team has the advantage this time around? Which player is going to be an impact? Jake answers those questions plus more that Tyler tosses his way. Then towards the end, they are joined by John Boccacino of SB Nation Buffalo Bills to give an insight of the Buffalo Bills before the upcoming Bill-Pats game this Sunday. What was the locker room like after the benching of starting QB Tyrod Taylor for Nate Peterman and then the loss to the LA Chargers in Week 11? Did the victory over the Chiefs change people’s perspective about the Bills team? How has the defense fared since the trade of DT Marcell Darius during the NFL trade deadline? John and Tyler discuss that and more. Demand the Truth #59 11/27/2017 – After getting a little rest and turkey, Will Turbitt is back on the trails exposing lies and corruption. This week, he’s joined by independent freelance journalist David McDonough as the two break down the human mind or rather, what makes a person a psychopath, a sociopath, a narcissist. Are there people that are psychopaths, sociapaths, or narcissists in our government? Are there groups of people (i.e. The Bilderberg Group) engineering these to take advantage of the masses? Will and David discuss that and more.
Derelict Dummies #231 11/20/17 - In this episode of the famed WBOB podcast Derelict Dummies hosts Kris Hansen and Bob Giusti battle the flu and yet still deliver puns, shuns and the news. Psycho Sports #243 11/21/17 - It's that special time of the year in sports. Thanksgiving is around the corner and if you're in Boston, you are very thankful because a lot of your sports teams are doing well. Tyler and Ryan first break down the number one team of the region, the New England Patriots, and their impressive blowout win over the Oakland Raiders down in Mexico City in Week 11. Was the blowout win due to poor conditioning of the Oakland Raiders (not preparing themselves for the high altitude) or costly mistakes that doomed the Raiders? Or was it because the Patriots were just the superior team, playing at a high level in all aspects of the game (especially defense)? The duo discuss that plus give a small peak about the upcoming game against the Miami Dolphins and doing their 2-Minute Drill.
Joining them are two special guests to continue the Boston sports talk. First up is Skyler Wack of SB Nation Bruins. Does backup goalie Anton Khudobin deserve to start more games over Tuuka Rask? How have the young Bruins players fared during their playing time? Which struggling Bruins player needs to step up their performance? Skyler and Tyler discuss those questions plus more on the Bs. Then to talk all things Boston Celtics, is SB Nation Celtics writer Bobby Manning. How impressive have the Celtics been in the early goings of the season? Are they ready to take that next step to become champions or are there still things they need to work out? Can the Celtics still ride on their defense to glory? Which player has provided the biggest surprise for the team and to fans? Bobby and Tyler discuss. The Rotunda #129 11/20/17 - Scott mixes sports and politics in the first segment, taking both Marshawn Lynch of the Oakland Raiders and President Trump to task over their actions pertaining to the recent Sunday night football game in Mexico City. Listen in and judge for yourself, did Lynch squander his opportunity to spark change? Should POTUS micromanage every little thing? We also hear about the passing of Charles Manson, and the searing mark that he left on the American psyche.
RI GOP Chair Brandon Bell calls in for segment 2, and gets the audience excited for what promises to be a hard fought election season next year. He shares how the minority party plans to try and balance the scales on smith hill, and also drops a hint about a potential rematch in the Speaker’s district! Focus swings back to Pawtucket in the third segment. Pawtucket city councilor Tim Rudd and concerned taxpayer Patricia St. Germain join the Rotunda to talk about a plan to devastate the Fairlawn neighborhood by relocating a waste transfer station right near local businesses. What effect could this have on quality of life in the area? Would the community lose all its character, and more importantly, can you really fight city hall and win? Does Pawtucket really have to be in the trash business while still trying to attract and keep an artisan community? Tune in and find out what’s got taxpayers steaming man, and you’ll want to join the fight as well! The Wild Side #322 11/14/17 - It's been a crazy week. Some might say it's been wild. Ron Park from the Conservative Media Group joins your teacher to discuss the latest in foreign affairs. What is going on in Russia? What would be going on if Hillary won? Derelict Dummies #230 11/13/17 - In this episode the Derelict's discussed the controversy over the recent police chase and shooting in Providence. Then they welcomed special guest playwright, actor and activist Christopher Johnson. The Dummies had a frank discussion on racism and how Christopher's play is a direct result of a WWB (walking while black) incident. Tyler and Ryan discuss each candidate in the awards race as well ad break the news of the NL Manager of the Year winner.
Then joining in the second half is PFW and WBOB's own Michael Parente to talk all things Patriots. With a Week 10 Showdown in Mexico with the Oakland Raiders, Parente and Tyler discuss a multitude of topics such as what players on both sides that could play an impact in the game, can Stephon Gilmore have another successful day against Michael Crabtree or Amari Cooper like he did against Demariyus Thomas in Week 9, will WR Chris Hogan and DT Malcolm Brown play or miss this game as well, and more. |
