Wild Side Memorial Tribute 7/31/18 – For the better part of the last decade, you heard the fiery voice of the man known as Professor David Clyde. For years he kept the average WBOB joe in the know in the world of news and politics, even dabbling into the world of sports and entertainment. He was an essential part of the 990WBOB family and nobody bled black and white like Clyde. He stuck by his guns but was always up for an open-table discussion or a debate. However back on December in 2017, David Clyde as well as his family and friends were shocked to learn he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. But rather giving into despair, Clyde fought back tooth and nail for months. But in the end,he succumbed to his cancer and passed away on July 21, 2018. This past Tuesday night, 990WBOB held a Wild Side memorial tribute to our fallen Professor. Joining the tribute are those who knew him best and were lucky to call him their friend. People like former RI Rep. Doreen Costa, 'Mr. Rhode Island' himself, Tony Jones, Joe Newby from Conservative Firing Line, Ron Park of Conservative Media Group, the 'Truckin' White Boy' Johnny K, Gonzalo Duran of Devil Dogs USA Incorporated, and those in the WBOB including the 'Truth Warrior' Dan Bidondi and David’s eternal rival, Scott Rotondo of The Rotunda.
There wasn't a dry eye in the house as everybody paid their respects and said their final good bye to a man that has been affectionately nicknamed 'Uncle Dave.' No matter what he was feeling or what time of day, David Clyde always had a smile on his face and a fiery passion within. We will miss you Uncle Dave, we all will miss you.

Derelict Dummies #260 7/30/18 - The show’s first segment was a tribute to David Clyde who passed after a battle with cancer. The Dummies had a special relation with Dave on the 990WBOB airwaves and had the occasion to broadcast together. Some fun thoughts about him were shared, but having an empty Mic 1 in the room was a profound reminder of a great loss. Eventually the topics got political as The Dummies warned of the importance of the November midterms and pondered a President Pence scenario. Yeah it got scary. But then the show rounded off with a discussion of Lindsey Buckingham’s exclusion in the forthcoming Fleetwood Mac tour and as usual the smiles came back.
Wild Side #358 6/19/2018 - One of the biggest things to hit the news the past few days is how the DCYF is 'separating' children from their families as they try to illegally cross into the United States from Mexico. But while everybody is expressing their outrage, Tyler and Professor Clyde discuss what really is going on that nobody is telling you.
Joining the show is Joe Newby of Conservative Firing Lines to weigh in on the recent actions of the DCYF as well as how the FBI is still trying to dig up dirt and essentially drumming up evidence against President Donald Trump while turning a a blind eye to the actions of the Left. The two are joined by the likes of Scott Rotondo and Joe Ferro as everybody is glad that the Professor is back. But as the fans know, Professor Clyde has an opinion of what's going on in the world. From the Philly Starbucks incident to the National Anthem policy to the Parkland gun protests, Dave tackles all those with the energy and gusto that only the professor can bring. Wild Side #354 5/22/2-18 - Between rapper Kendrick Lamaar freaking out at a concert in Alabama, peace talks faltering between the USA and North Korea, and the recent Santa Fe high school shooting and the possible connection to it with violent video games, Tyler tackles it all.
Joining him on the show are a slew of guests. First you have gubernatorial candidate Luis Daniel Muñoz back on the Wild Side to talk about what he plans to do if elected as governor of RI, including how to improve school security in the wake of the Santa Fe shooting as well how to improve the RI economy and job market. Then Well Played's own Peter Oliver joins Tyler in the discussion of whether or not children are becoming more and more exposed to violent video games as well as what to do about that. And if you're looking for something to do this Memorial Day weekend, Jennifer Gaeber swings on by to give you the low down on what to do and what festivals Rhode Islanders and tourists alike should checkout. The Wild side #350 4/24/18 - Prager University’s Will Witt joined Tyler Salk and Scott Rotondo to discuss everything around the message the Prager team shares with their almost 1.4 million YouTube subscribers, including his exclusive interview with Ben Shapiro.

Five years after the Boston Marathon bombings, security expert and Stratfor contributor Austin Duckworth joins Tyler Salk and Kevin Aherne to elaborate on the precautions taken in this year’s running.
Candidate for Governor, Luis Daniel Muñoz stops by prior to his open forum event to further discuss his platform for Rhode Island. What does he think the state needs to do about education? Should the Paw Sox stay in Rhode Island? And why did he skip the first gubernatorial debate? Plus, WBOB favorites Joe Ferro, Scott Rotondo, and the one and only David Clyde also sit in to discuss the latest rumblings surrounding Syria. In what has to be one of the most heartwarming episodes of The Rotunda to date, Scott gets roasted in the first segment by former wingman Tyler Salk, only to be left gobsmacked at the evenings big reveal: WBOB legend David “WildSide” Clyde barges into the studio to take Scott on one-on-one! Facebook Live couldn’t capture the honest emotion at the reunion, you’ll definitely want to see this to believe it!

Not to mention that he talks about RI gubernatorial candidate Giovanni Feroce and his chances as a 3rd party candidate for the upcoming RI Governor election in November. Does an independent candidate have a chance to win? Tony discusses. The Rotunda #145 3/26/18 - In a shocking development, Scott’s first segment is pre-empted by WOBOB founder Pal, who informs Scott that on the previous edition of the WildSide, Professor Clyde turned up the heat on the handsome ghost of The Rotunda. You have to hear the clip that was captured of that whole rant, and decide for yourself: If there something to all of this, is Scott really that nasty person being described, or is the good Professor simply jealous of Scott’s roguish good looks and clear fashion style? The show ends with Derelict Dummies co-host and erstwhile WildSide co-host Bob Giusti getting grilled for his complacency in the simmering feud. Is her really Switzerland – neutral to the end, or is he in cohoots with Clyde? Listen and determine for yourselves.
Sandwiched between these segments are Independent gubernatorial candidate Luis Munoz and the youngest person to serve the town of Hopkinton, Joshua Bedoya. |
