Sunday's game in Buffalo between the visiting Patriots and the Bills marked was the first under new ownership for the host team. More than 70,000 juiced up fans welcomed in a new beginning. New Hope! Newer dream!. Locals Terry and Kim Pegula's 1.4 billion investment all but guaranteed the franchise will not be moved from the blue collar region in western New York. The Bills had a chance to gain sole possession of first in the AFC east, an area of uncharted territory for what seems like an entire generation.
It's been a great week in Buffalo...Until Sunday when Tom Brady and the New England Patriots came rolling into town. With rumors of his demise still in circulation, the future hall of famer was clinical in his dissection of a stout Bills defense. Brady went 27-37 for 361 yds. and 4 tds. in his career he is 23-2 against the Bills. So dominant in fact that if you believe in aura, emotion and mystique, the mental edge favors the Patriots even before the coin toss. The beat goes on. Tim Wright, Bryan Tyms and Brandon LaFell were this weeks recipients of scoring tosses as the Patriots improved to 4-2 with a 37-22 victory and with gain top dog in the division.

New England's defense sacked Bills signal caller Kyle Orton 5 times, led by LB Rob Ninkovich who totaled 3 of them, and contained a decent Bills offense allowing them 338 yards for the game as Buffalo played catch up all afternoon long. TE Scott Chandler of the Bills led all receivers with 105 yds. on 6 receptions and WR Robert Woods had 78 yds. on 7 catches with a score.

The Patriots have forgotten all about this game as they face a short work week in preparation for Thursday night's tilt with the Jets in Foxboro.

News and Notes:

- The win may have been a costly one for the Pats as RB Stevan Ridley and LB Jerrod Mayo were both carted off with apparent
   knee injuries.

- QB Tom Brady became the 5th player to have 60 300 yd. passing performances.

- Pats K Stephen Gostkowski's miss of a 36 yd. attempt ended a streak of 34 consecutive FG attempts made under 40 yards
dating back to week 12 0f 2012 against the New York Jets.
