Another exciting draft match up we have to great Wide Receivers. Tavon Austin vs. Cordarrelle Patterson. My pick on who I think will be a better pro may surprise you. Let us start with Cordarrelle Patterson from Tennessee. He is Versatile, good size, and some people consider him the next great Wide Receiver. I do not see it as much as everyone else. I think he could be a good Wide Receiver probably comparable to an Anquan Boldin, but he did not show me enough in college for me to see it. In my opinion there is too much mystery and with mystery comes risk.
Grade: B- Tavon Austin on the other end of the spectrum is I feel being under valued. He had back to back 1000+ yard seasons with 20 receiving TD's. He has explosive speed, good hands, and is a good route runner. I think Austin could be the next Mike Wallace, Others feel he a risk but me I think he could be very productive in the NFL. Grade B+ I rank Austin Over Patterson because I feel he is more pro ready right now and will have an instant impact. I am not completely down on Patterson I just do not think he is ready to transition into the NFL just yet. I have Austin going to New England and Patterson to the Rams. -Stephen Moul |
