It is never a good day when you are informed that the Federal Bureau of Investigation is looking into your basketball program. Auburn point guard Varez Ward faces allegations of shaving points on at least two separate occasions. The NCAA is awaiting the conclusion of the FBI's investigation before handing down any punishments of their own. However, if the FBI deems there is enough evidence to move forward with charges, Ward could face up to 5 years in prison and up to $250,000 in fines. Needless to say any penalty the NCAA would hand down would be child's play compared to the Feds. -Pal |
