![]() 348 attempts, 2097 rushing yards, and 12 rushing touchdowns, Adrian Peterson fell nine yards short of the rushing record held by Eric Dickerson (2106) but he did not fall short of the MVP award this season. He beat out Peyton Manning collecting 30 1/2 votes to Peyton's 19 1/2. After an injury plagued last season, "All Day" Adrian Peterson out performed everybody and in my opinion single handedly took Minnesota the playoffs, A.P. had 10 one-hundred yard plus rushing games and averaged 6.0 Yards per attempt. The notable thing about this is that the NFL of recent Years has been a Quarterback driven League as of late and it is nice to see a Running Back like Adrian Peterson win the award.
