By Kevin Aherne (@KAherne17) The weather is cooling off, but baseball is heating up!
With less than two weeks remaining in the 2013 MLB season, the storylines and drama aound the league have reached a fever pitch. Zero teams have clinched, each division features a contentious race, and there are currently still 15 teams with realistic playoff aspirations. While this season has been filled with great storylines; some past, some current, and some are still developping... these are my favorites: By The Dip (@noahattheark) "What's wrong with the Patriots?" That's not be the proper question. How about; "What's wrong with Bill?" The "Genius" now looks like a buffoon in how he handled his wide receiving corps this past offseason?
By Scoop Fox Hello everybody, welcome to another edition of Scoop Fox's Audio blog. We have come to the mountain top, the Governors' Cup finals. The PawSox have a chance for Triple-A immortality in winning back-to-back Governors' Cup as they squared off against the Durham Bulls. The first two games were in Durham, NC as the PawSox took Game 1 and the Bulls took Game 2. Game 3 was played Friday night, first pitch at 7:05. However after 14-inning marathon that took 5 hours and 42 minutes, the PawSox were shut out 2-0. Afterwards, PawSox skipper Gary DiSarcina sits down with the media, including Scoop Fox, to discuss what happened during the game and PawSox Manager Gary DiSarcina after Game 3 of Governors' Cup Final on 9/13/13 Game 4 will be played on Saturday the 14th at 6:05 PM. Should it be necessary, Game 5 will be played the 15th at 1:05 PM. Hopefully it does go to 5 games with the PawSox coming out on top.
This is Scoop Fox, signing off. By Kevin Aherne (@KAherne17) Sundays in the fall. You wake up, roll out of bed, and slide that beat up nylon replica jersey over your shoulders. You know the one; the numbers have all but washed away, the one with the pizza grease stain on the shoulder. Next is breakfast and coffee, followed by a quick trip to the grocery store; time to stock up on the essentials: chips, beer, and grillable meats.
Then it is back to the house to fire up the grill, turn on the television, open the laptop, and set your fantasy lineup for the first game of the week... Wait! What is that!? how am I losing 46-12 already!? By Johnny Sunchips It's been three months (ninety-four days to be exact) since we last saw him. Half of the MLB Regular Season calendar has come and gone....and as Tom Petty once vocalized in song: "Waiting is the hardest part," and, that, it has been! The return of Clay Buchholz to Boston's starting rotation was highly anticpated,
and worth the wait! By Scoop Fox Oh it’s good to be back. That’s right folks, it’s time for Scoop Fox’s Pick’ems. Even with the penalty last week, yours truly was able to score double digits in correct picks. Not a bad way to start the season. This week we're faced with a few divisional rival match ups as well as a sibling rivalry. Now let’s hope to it with the Pick’ems. Disclaimer: Don't take it too personal if I don't pick your team. Also please do not use these pick'ems for actual Vegas Picks. If you do, the author demands 59.952 % of the cut. Week 1 Record: 11-5 Season Record: 11-5 the guys were joined by former Super Bowl Cchampion Patrick Pass to talk about the Patriot way, the grind of the NFL season, and we got his thoughts on his former team's performance in Week 1 against the Bills.

If you missed the playoffs you are far from finished! By Pal
