By Johnny Sunchips It's the first time in 79 years that two teams in the same division have started a season at 6-0. Before the Chiefs and Broncos it was the Lions and Bears in 1934. Patriots QB Tom Brady bailed out his Head Coach following a failed fourth and six from his own twenty - five yard line and less than three minutes remaining, trailing by a point. For the fifth consecutive game a Texans QB has thrown a pick six! While we topic the Lone Star State...
Ramirez hurt; Dodgers on the brink of elimination LA lost another and perhaps most costly bat in the lineup. Hanley Ramirez left game 4 of the NLCS in obvious pain. Besides the prized Dodger shortstop LA lost the game as well. Matt Holiday led the Cardinal offense to the 4-2 victory. St. Louis looks to end the series tomorrow 4pm eastern. In their way stands Zack Greinke on the hill. Pats Defense in trouble. Jerod Mayo out for the season. ESPN is reporting he had season ending surgery Tuesday to repair a torn pectoral muscle. Mayo was the field general of the Pats defense. The same defense that lost another prowboler in Vince Wilfork earlier this year. Big Day on 990WBOB
990WBOB continues to work hard to bring to you comprehensive sports talk. Tonight we are serving up four hours of argumentative, grungy, sometimes informative sports discussions. Starting at 5pm w/ Chips N Dip. By Scoop Fox Hello everybody, welcome to another edition of Fox’s NFL Pick’ems. Remember when I said that my week 4 Pick’ems were bad? I’ll correct that, Week 5 was even worse. I’m sinking faster than the Atlanta Falcon’s season now that Julio Jones is on IR. I’ve made worse picks last week than Eli Manning would be proud of. I embarrassed myself worse than the Jaguars’ pitiful performance this season. I....I....I.... Okay I’ll stop the banter. Last week was last week. This week is a whole new week and that means new picks to be made. So enough talking, on to the picks!
Week 5 Record: 6-8 Season Record: 46-31 Byes: Atlanta Falcons, Miami Dolphins By Kevin Aherne (@KAherne17) Without the bitter, the sweet ain't as sweet. And for Red Sox fans, the bitter has been in high supply for the past few seasons. They suffered through three seasons without a postseason berth, with each year worse than the previous. It began in 2010, with a season that yielded 89 wins, leaving them just outside of October baseball. 2011, things got worse; with the Wild Card all but locked up, the Sox dropped 18 of 24 in September, ousting themselves and their manager in one fell swoop. Then came the Booby Valentine disaster of 2012, and we all know how that one turned out. So in 2013, with another new manager, a turned-over roster, and a region covered by a blanket of skepticism, the Sox set out to reverse their misfortunes... By Johnny Sunchips New Orleans is 5-0 and with no other team in the NFC South having more than one win, have virtually clinched the division. On the other hand in the overrated NFC East, the 0-5 Giants are a mere two games behind in the race for their division title. It's uncanny to say the least. Let's roll! By Scoop Fox Hello everybody, welcome to another edition of Fox’s NFL Pick’ems. Yeah, not going to lie. Last weekend was another burnout, the first sub-.500 performance of the season. It was like running into a wall, that’s how bad it was. Well not that literally per say. Any who, better to get it out of the way now before it hits during the latter parts. Going into this week, we still have 5 undefeated teams and winless teams. Who is going to get their first loss? Who is going to get their first win? Why am I still talking to you? On with the picks!
