Avery Bradley: Don't Believe The Hype

Seventeen points and three assists. Where most people would consider that a good night, that was Avery Bradley's stats for the past three games. Where may of Boston fans and media call Bradley the future of the Boston Celtics, I am not buying it.

He is playing as the starting Point Guard in Rondo's absence, once again he started out strong and has failed to deliver the past four games.

When Rajon Rondo returns next season Bradley will be the starting shooting guard for the Celtics. In that case he needs to score, draw the fouls, and attack the basket. Seventeen points in three games is not gonna cut it. Right now he is the starting point guard for the Celtics and he needs to distribute the ball, make plays, and attack the basket.  In four games Avery Bradley has three assists. That is not a stretch you want from your starting point guard, at all.

The biggest argument i get is he plays defense. Well, I will say this , some of the greatest defenders in this league in those positions like Stockton, Jordan, Ray Allen, and Rondo are known for turning defense into offense. If you have ten steals a game and none of them turn into points, what good was the steal? I think Bradley will be a great spot start role player for the Celtics but maybe an every day starter, but that is as far as it goes for me. I am not believing the hype.
