#Celtics on a Streak

The Boston Celtics shocked most and perhaps made a statement Saturday in Miami. Winners of now three in a row including back to back road wins the Celtics have many skeptics watching closely. Showing off their swagger against the defending champions in enemy territory, Boston looked like a legitimate playoff contender.

Heavy underdogs coming in. Most expected the Celtics to falter. Especially after a close contest the night before in Orlando. However Boston played the Heat close throughout allowing Miami to lead by ten or more only once. Celtics forward Jeff Green drew the unenviable task of guarding Mr. All World, Lebron James. In the past this match up has brought out the best in Green. Saturday was not any different. Putting up 24 points including his dramatic buzzer beating three pointer for the win.

Celtics fans are in a state of confusion. Expected to tank and build for the future. Hopeful for a high lottery pick rather than a seed in the playoffs. The Celtics live by rookie coach Dan Stevens and his desire to win. Some so-called experts have written that Dan Stevens may even be the worst thing for the Celtics franchise. Explaining that the passionate coach does not know how and may even be incapable of tanking a season. After an 0-4 start things seemed to be going according to plan. Picked to be lucky to win 20 games Boston has now improved their mark to 3-4. Yet let's not get become overly hopeful. The NBA season is grueling grind that can collapse any team. Especially a young squad such as this.

Kelly Olynyk

Rookie Power Forward/Center Kelly Olynyk has made an impression in Beantown. Not afraid to play tough against the league's big men. Olynyk is getting the bulk of available playing time thus far. The most impressive element of his game early on, has been his instinctual defense play. However to the casual eye is sweet mid range jumper is his most attractive quality. Extremely accurate and clutch. It is no wonder why Celtic's fans everywhere are embracing the seven foot Saskatchewan.

Boston returns home tonight against the Orlando Magic. After a 91-89 victory in Orlando Friday, the Celtics will look to continue there good fortune. The Magic come in looking to improve over a team worst 20 turnovers in the last match up. Orlando has not won in Boston since 2010.
