Eyewear Company Offers Free Eyeglasses For All World Cup Refs

The founders of Swift Eyewear Inc., Joseph Ianni Pierre Brousseau, are fed up with the almost blind officiating at World Cup matches.

"We thought it would be a fun way to get the word out about our new app,” says Ianni. “Look, these referees sure do seem like they need eye glasses with some of the worst calls coming early in the competition.”

So, the company is now offering free eyeglasses to any and all referees working the World Cup. 

“We would like to immediately send a pair to Yuichi Nishimura and Wilmar Roldan for their horrible blunders in Brazil vs Croatia and Mexico vs Cameroon, respectively,” says Ianni. “But you know, after watching the last NBA championship, we might extend our offer to other sports!”
