By Scoop Fox Oh it’s good to be back. That’s right folks, it’s time for Scoop Fox’s Pick’ems. Two weeks in a row where I had double-digit correct pick’ems. Am I on a roll or what? Not too much for storyline going on this week. So far we got an old coach returning to his old stomping grounds in the City of Brotherly Love and a college QB facing his old college coach. I'll let you figure out who I'm talking about. That being said, let's get this party started. Week 2 Record: 13-3 Season Record: 24-8 Thursday 8:25 p.m. Kansas City Chiefs @ Philadelphia Eagles The storyline for this game is Andy Reid’s return to Philly after getting fired during the offseason. That being said, the Eagles have been good in the turnover department in just committing 2 turnovers in the first two games. That being said, Michael Vick is due. Pick: Chiefs Sunday 1:00 p.m. Houston Texans @ Baltimore Ravens Little worried about the Ravens. They barely squeaked by a woefully under skilled Browns team 14-6. Though the two previous games for the Texans were come-from-behind Ws, they got more offensive talent than the Browns. Pick: Texans New York Giants @ Carolina Panthers Last year, Giant RB Andre Brown went off with 113 yards and 2 TDs in his ‘debut’. Unfortunately the Giants are without Brown’s talents in this one. Shouldn’t matter In this one. Pick: Giants Detroit Lions @ Washington Redskins This pretty much summarizes what will happen between Calvin Johnson and Detroit against the Redskins: Pick: Lions San Diego Chargers @ Tennessee Titans Disclaimer: Scoop could not comment on this match up due to the sheer boredom and he could not think of something witty to say. Pick: Chargers Arizona Cardinals @ New Orleans Saints I’m a little bit concerned. The Saints scored 23 and 14 points in Weeks 1 & 2 respectively and that was against some mediocre defenses. Now they have to face an overwhelming and underrated Cardinals defense who can squash the run easily and focus on the pass. Thankfully this game is being played in New Orleans Pick: Saints Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New England Patriots Darelle Revis is back in New England and not wearing a Jets uniform and that spells trouble for a Patriots’ offense whose leading receiver is a 5’10’’ oft-injured wideout. Buccaneers Josh Freeman maybe an average QB at best but he’s head and shoulders better than the last QB the Pats defense has to face. Pick: Bucs Green Bay Packers vs. Cincinnati Bengals If you have Aaron Rodgers or Andy Dalton as your starting QB in fantasy, plug them in this game. It’s going to be an air show. Unfortunately the Packers have a better receiving corp (Nelson-Jones-Cobb-Finley) than the Bengals (Green-Insert 3 other Bengals here). Pick: Packers St. Louis Rams @ Dallas Cowboys Sigh…I know I gotta make a pick for this game. Thankfully I won’t be around to see it. Pick: Cowboys Cleveland Browns @ Minnesota Vikings Seriously. What were they thinking in trading their franchise running back after just 2 games into the season?! I have come to believe the Browns are deliberately trying to piss their fans off. Pick: Vikings Sunday 4:05 p.m. Atlanta Falcons @ Miami Dolphins This could prove interesting as both teams are pourous in pass defense (20th for Miami and 29th for Atlanta). With Steven Jackson out for Atlanta, it’s going to be up to Matt Ryan to shoulder the load. Easier said when you’re facing a Dolphins defense that is tied for lead league in sacks (9.0). Pick: Dolphins Buffalo Bills @ New York Jets At least the Jets have a better defense. Pick: Jets Sunday 4:25 p.m. Indianapolis Colts @ San Francisco 49ers It will be interesting to see how the Colts’ Andrew Luck perform against his former college coach in Jim Harbaugh. However the factor to keep an eye out is the running attack of the 49ers. They’re about due for a breakthrough game and facing the 29th ranked rushing defense, you can see it happening. Pick: 49ers Jacksonville Jaguars @ Seattle Seahawks The Jaguars scored 2 against Kansas City, 9 against Oakland. Against Seattle….well….they won’t break double digits this time around. Pick: Seahawks Sunday 8:30 p.m. Chicago Bears @ Pittsburgh Steelers Smash mouth defense, high-powered offense. That’s the team the Steelers used to be. Now they’re more like the Pittsburgh Aluminums than anything else. Pick: Bears Monday Night Football 8:40 p.m. Oakland Raiders @ Denver Broncos Big blow for the folks at Mile High, losing LT Ryan Clady for the season due to injury. But Peyton and Co. will manage fine against the lowly Raiders in this one. If you Peyton on your fantasy team, this is the perfect game to start him in. Pick: Broncos That’s all folks. Tune in next time for another fun episode of Fox’s Pick’ems and be sure to tune in every Wednesday night 8-10pm for Psycho Sports. Now to end it on a high note, here’s a clip of a laughing shark. This is Scoop Fox, signing off.
