The Dip The NHL its the one league that starts off with a slow spread out schedule and then gradually as the season goes on there are more games scheduled per week. In most leagues it is wise to have 1 Goaltender on the bench and fill the rest of your bench with forwards. This is also the time of year where teams play only one goalie because of the amount of time between games. This is also the time of year when those workhorse goalies get hurt. So new franchise goalies pop up weekly with the old guard falling by the wayside at the same time. So the Dip, in his infinite wisdom, always has 4 goalies on his team. I draft 3 and by week 3 I pick another one up. Yes I corner the market, I am that guy. While you are searching for a starter in week 10 the Dip is sitting high on the goalie hog. Remember there are just as many categories to win with goalies as there are for position players, so why would you limit your daily selection. Mix and match! Truthfully you can't go wrong with goalies that start the majority of their NHL team's games. Believe me, if a goalie sucks the team moves on. This is not like MLB where you can just be a horrible number 5 starter for a bad team. If a goalie plays twice a week he is good enough to pay on your team.
