Jaromir Jagr made his Bruins debut Thursday evening against the Devils. Boston would need his services as Patrice Bergeron missed the game with a concussion. How did this future hall of famer fair in his first game with Boston?

The Boston Bruins took the ice for the first team this season with newly acquired future hall of famer Jaromir Jagr Thursday evening against the Devils. Jagr skates onto the Bruins already leading the team in goals with 14 despite being 41 years young. He would add to that total in the second period on a tip in from Brad Marchand. Jagr fit well on second line with Brad Marchand and Tyler Seguin. Seguin for the first time in the pros would play his natural position of center due to the concussion suffered by Patrice Bergeron. Bergeron has had multiple concussion issues in the past so Boston wants to handle this injury with great care. The Bruins will finally see what Seguin can do at the center position as Bergeron recovers from his latest concussion. Tyler Seguin idolized fellow center Steve Yzerman growing up which is why he wears the number 19 in honor of the all-time great Red Wing.

Jagr's second period goal was all Boston needed as they held on to defeat the New Jersey Devils 1-0. Tuukka Rask pitched his first shout out of the season in the net for Boston. Rask has been thrown in the fire as of late as backup goalie Anton Khudobin has been playing very well. Tuukka still has to prove too many Bruins fans that he can succeed in the playoffs. Rask was the Goalie in net when Boston blew a 3-0 series lead to the Flyers in the 2010 eastern conference semifinals. It will be interesting to see who is behind the net when the Bruins play their rivals the Montreal Canadians for the final time in the regular season on Saturday evening. Boston needs to make a statement as they can move ahead of Montreal for the division lead with a win on Saturday.
