Pal - [email protected] In Red Sox nation there is no sin more disgusting. Nothing more sacrilegious than being a long time beloved Boston star and leaving the nation to join the hated Yankees. Yet that's just what outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury just did. ESPN is reporting he and the Bronx bombers reached a deal worth $153 million over seven years. The deal raises two interesting questions. First and most obvious it creates a huge whole in center for the Sox as well as issues at the top of the Boston lineup. The other question glaring here, is the future of Curtis Granderson in NY. Granderson who has had a few freak health issues over the last couple of seasons appears to be out in the Bronx. Ellsbury is younger and faster than Granderson at this stage in his career.
