Eddie Lacy is projected to be the first running back off the board in the 2013 NFL Draft. I feel he is extremely under valued and in any other circumstance he would be a top ten pick, but there is just not to many places where he is going to fit and make an instant impact. these five teams may help you think otherwise. #1 St. Louis Rams- Losing Steven Jackson does not help Sam Bradford develop a rhythm in the NFL. He needs a strong running game and a Receiver who can catch the ball. I feel they could get both in this draft. Lacy and Jeff Fisher could be a match made in heaven. Fisher is great at getting the best out of his RB's, could this be a landing spot?
#2 New England Patriots- I know they have Ridley and Vereen and it is going to be the best Running game since Corey Dillon came to town. Well, here is a thought, defenses never paid any attention to the New England running game last year because they expected Brady to throw it 1000 times a game. They were good by default. Lacy could be drafted here and could be the next Curtis Martin. #3 New York Jets- They have no one, and I mean no one worth mentioning in the backfield. Lacy could be the right fit to get the jets a winning record in a couple years. #4 Green Bay Packers- Probably the most ideal fit for him would be in Green Bay, who is trying to establish a dominant running game. If he falls to GB he is going to be drafted there. #5 New York Giants- Do not believe the hype the Giants do not believe in there backfield. They believed it to be a waste of money to pay Bradshaw. This would be a great fit and give Lacy the chance to truly prove himself in a big market NFL team. Lacy has promise and is extremely undervalued the guy did help Alabama win a National Title this year. I am betting on Lacy being a Pro Bowl RB in the NFL and one of these teams will be able to tell you I told you so. -Stephen "Mr. Combine" Moul |
