The 2013 NFL Draft is getting closer. With only a few weeks away I wanted to breakdown two players who are projected to go pretty high in the draft and give you projections and who is better, in my opinion.

We will start at the QB position and give you the two top names this year Geno Smith vs Matt Barkley.

Let's talk about Geno Smith. We all know about the mobility and the big arm which is the reason why he is slated as a top ten pick, but I wanna focus on his Mechanics for a minute. His accuracy is good not sharp, he has a habit of forcing passes at times, but overall it is not something he can't fix at a pro level. In his four years at West Virginia he only threw 21 Int and recorded 91 touchdowns. That is pretty phenomenal not to mention the back to back 4000+ yards he threw the past two years. My overall QB rating for Smith is an A-. He is not perfect but he can be.

Matt Barkley will be a good QB in the NFL. How good, you say? That is left to be determined. in his four years at USC Barkley threw for over 10000+ yards and 116 touchdowns. So, whats not to like? well 48 int's and has a tendency to be a little inconsistent. Overall I give my grade on Barkley a B+. He can be great but it will take a couple years.

Overall I rank Geno Smith over Matt Barkley due to his ability to make plays. Barkley needs to work on his footwork and delivery a tiny bit more for him to be successful in the NFL. I peg Geno Smith Going  to the Eagles and Matt Barkley Heading to Buffalo.
