The final score was 4-1 as the home team lost their third game in a row. Here's how some of the Red Sox prospects fared in that game. Bryce Brentz Position Played: DH Game Stats: 0-for-3, BB, K Overall: Was given a break from playing right field after playing it during the last few games. Wasn’t a good day behind the plate, kept weakly hitting into groundouts. Last at of the game was good as he showed good plate discipline in drawing the walk. Deven Marrero Position Played: SS Game Stats: 1-for-4, 2K Overall: Struggled at the plate with the two strikeouts. Made an error in the top of the 3rd that allowed Clippers RF Jerry Sands to reach base. Garin Cecchini Position Played: LF Stats: 0-for-3, BB, K Overall: Struggled at the plate like most of the other Red Sox batters. Played in left field for the 15th time today this season, looked really smooth and natural there. Made a few good catches, including one in the bottom of the 5th that robbed Clippers 3B Audry Ciriaco of a home run. |
