The next in the series of Free [Blank] Fridays, in which the PawSox provide something free, will be a “Free Brady Friday,” June 10, in which fans named Tom and/or Brady will be admitted free. Box seats, normally priced at $13, will be priced at $12, in honor of the quarterback’s uniform number. For each of those tickets, the club will donate a “quarter back” to Best Buddies, which Brady and members of the PawSox leadership have supported. The “Free Brady Friday” concludes a week of Patriots-related festivities that kicks off with a pair of autograph signings at the ballpark on Monday, June 6 and Tuesday, June 7. On Monday, defensive linemen Jabaal Sheard and Joe Vellano will deliver first pitches and sign for fans in the Fan Center from 7:15 to 8:30 pm, while fullback James Develin, linebacker Rufus Johnson, and defensive back Brandon King will do the same on Tuesday night. These special appearances are presented by Met Life, HOT-106, and WEEI-FM.
“Tom Brady is one of the region’s most beloved athletes and public figures,” said PawSox Senior Vice-President/General Manager Dan Rea, who announced the promotion. “This evening allows PawSox fans, so many of whom are Patriots fans, to show their support for him.” All fans named Tom or Brady will be admitted to the game free of charge when they present a valid identification. The first 3,000 fans will also receive a commemorative placard, which they can display during a photo opportunity between innings. All ceremonial first pitches and certain in-game promotions will be used with footballs instead of baseballs. |
