Tomorrow night the Friars are on the road at Seton Hall.Thursday's game will be the 99th meeting between Providence and Seton Hall, with the Friars leading the series, 51-47. The Friars have posted a 26-15 mark versus the Pirates at Providence, a 21-26 record at Seton Hall and a 4-6 mark on neutral courts. In the first game between the two teams this season, the Friars were defeated by the Pirates, 81-72, on January 16, 2015 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. In the last meeting between the two teams at Seton Hall, PC earned a 79-66 victory over the Pirates on March 4, 2015.
Seton Hall has posted a 19-7 mark overall and a 9-5 record in league play this season. In its most recent game, the Pirates defeated St. John's at Madison Square Garden, 62-61, on Feb. 21. The Pirates are led in scoring by sophomore guard Isaiah Whitehead, who is averaging 16.6 points per game. Sophomore forward Angel Delgado leads the team in rebounding (9.8 rpg) and is fourth on the team in scoring (10.0). Only five Friars all-time have recorded more than 200 steals, including the NCAA all-time steals leader John Linehan '02 (385 steals).
