Former NFL Pro-Bowl Linebacker Junior Seau was found today dead in his Oceanside, CA home.  Suicide is suspected.

Seau, who's career spanned 19 Seasons, mostly in San Diego, but included stints in Miami and New England, was a fan and teammate favorite.  He played hard, he played tough, but he always came out of the pile with a smile.

Junior seemingly was unable to cope with life outside football, as he has had trouble on several occasions since his 2009 retirement.  In 2010, Seau's SUV plunged off of a cliff, causing minor injuries, the same day he was arrested on a domestic violence charge.

Due to the circumstances, many speculated that the wreck was a failed suicide attempt, an allegation that Seau vehemently denied.  Despite his notorious smile, clearly something was not right in his world.

Goodbye Junior.... You didn't pass on, you graduated.

Rest In Peace.

- Kevin Aherne
