By Kevin Aherne When Tim Thomas left the Hub City, Boston knew that their goltending situation was facing a setback... However, somebody failed to remind Tuukka Rask. Rask has been a force in the crease for Boston throughout the playoffs. In Monday's Game 3, Tuukka stopped all 28 Blackhawk shots, posting his third shutout of the playoffs amid Boston's 2-0 victory. Rask didn't do it alone though, solid defensive play from Seidenberg, Chara and Boychuck kept the puck out of harm's way for much of the game.
On the offensive end, Daniel Paille stayed hot, putting the Bruins on the board with a 2nd Period snap shot goal, his second of the series in. Later in the same period, Patrice Bergeron added a Power Play goal to give Boston all they would need to cruise to a 2-1 series lead. |
