Tim Thomas: Hero or Hated?

What do you think of when you hear the name Tim Thomas? Do you think Hero of the 2010-2011 Boston Bruins and their Stanley Cup winning season? Or do you Hate him for causing major discord in the Bruins organization for "taking a year off"?

Some hockey analysts believe that he wants to go out on his own power instead of being trade bait this coming season. Some think he's doing it just to spite the Bruins Organization for trying to trade him in the off season of 2009-2010. 

But in this writer/fan's opinion, he's just trying to force a trade to the Colorado Avalanche. Thomas purchased a house and uprooted his family mid regular season this past year. Making most Bruins fans uneasy about him staying around after his contract is up. Tim Thomas also shares the same agent with Tuukka Rask so they could also be working a gambit to drive Tuukka's salary up as he is a free agent this off season.

All in all, the Bruins faithful will have to hold their breath and wait to see if we have the goaltender duo next season or if we'll have a new goaltender between the pipes.
