I have talked this over with a few people and I keep getting asked the same question. "Do you think the Super Bowl was a failure this year?" Well let’s look at all the elements and give it a full on performance review shall we?

First things first… let’s talk the game. It was not much to dispute on the contested matchup between the Ravens and the 49ers. Both teams showed up to play the first half was not the edge of the seat match up i would of liked, but the second half sure made up for it. Was there controversy? Not as much as you would think. Yes, the lights went out and switched momentum to the 49ers. And yes, there was a “questionable call" on fourth and goal. But Flacco threw 3 TDs and you couldn't question any of them.
Overall I give the game rating a B+

Next on to the commercials… They were a huge disappointment this year. Besides an M&M singing Meatloaf, I was unimpressed.  The one that hit a shock wave was the GoDaddy.com commercial, where some people were grossed out, and found it offensive. Really? The last time I checked we were all that nerdy kid wanting to make out with a supermodel, weren't we?
My commercial rating: D-

Now we have the halftime show and I will admit, I thought it was going to be mediocre at best. I was surprised by how Beyonce performed and brought out Destiny's Child, putting on a really great show. I have to hand it to Beyonce, not because I am a fan of Jay-Z, but for the fact she did what she said she was going to do, and stole the show.
Overall halftime show rating: A-

To answer my aforementioned question about the Super Bowl being a "Super Dud…" I say NO.
Overall Super Bowl rating: B
