![]() Day one of free agency officially arrived today and on day one we have some clear cut winners and losers. Yes it is only the first day and in this time frame we have seen a numerous amount of moves some, which entirely change the infrastructure of their franchise. Let's Start with the clear cut winners of day one the Miami Dolphins. Ryan Tannehill just became the happiest Quarterback in the AFC with the acquisition of former Pittsburgh Wider Receiver Mike Wallace. The 25 year old pro bowl deep threat takes his talents to south beach to help out the offense that desperately needed it. Along with Wallace the Dolphins have acquired Danelle Ellerbe, Phillip Wheeler, resigned Chris Clemons and Brian Hartline. I do not think the dolphins are done but they already look a lot better on paper.
One of the other big time losers on day one was the Oakland Raiders. Without signing any free agent the cuts mean nothing Reggie Mckenzie, I don't know about anyone else but a group of bad players is better than a handful of bad players. Reggie needs to have a successful week for his plan of cutting everyone to work. No one wants to here how much money you save its how much money you make and with no clear cut star on the roster to look forward to, Where does that leave the Raiders? The Patriots and the Wes Welker talks are "over at this point" according to sources. I feel they may pick up next week if no one makes an offer that Wes is looking for but there are defiantly a few teams that could use a reliable WR like Welker. We will see where this goes. Finally the browns acquired to sleeper pieces today DT Desmond Bryant and LB Paul Kruger. This gives the Browns something to look forward to on defense. The AFC North got a whole lot weaker today and the only ones to make great moves today where the browns. Could the Browns be the team to watch for in the AFC North. -Stephen "Mr.Combine" Moul |
