Baseball fever has hit New England and the question remains is if the Red Sox can be contenders? I have a few thoughts that may ease your minds Red Sox fans. So lets get ready for some Baseball talk. The Red Sox are not pegged the favorite at all to win the division or even make the playoffs for that matter, which I feel is a bit much this team has hit a down slide the past couple seasons but every team in this division has things to work on including the newly revered Blue Jays. The main concern with Boston is the Pitching Rotation which could like this. Lester, Buchholz, Doubront, Lackey, and Dempster Which in my opinion is really not that bad every pitcher on that roster is capable of 15 wins. The next big question is lack of power in the line up. The Red Sox were not gonna wow you with super big names this year the wanted to find productive replacements for what they lost and they acquired Napoli to play first and Victorino for the Outfield. I would that is not too bad top to bottom the line up is pretty solid for them to make it in the post season.
Fans of the Red Sox do not worry, lose sleep, or even curse Jon Lackey's name for that matter. The Red Sox will be productive, improve from last season and make a run at the postseason there are 162 games to be played and I see Boston finishing with just under 90 wins. So lets get ready for some Baseball. -Stephen Moul |
