Be warned: Arrival is not your typical alien invasion movie. If you enjoyed Independence Day, you may find Arrival slow-paced and pretentious, but if you prefer movies that are introspective and make you think, then Arrival is the movie for you. Prior to the arrival of the aliens, the film opens with Dr. Louise Banks (Amy Adams) having flashbacks of her daughter dying of cancer—imagery which is used in several instances throughout the film. The viewer is then immediately thrust into the chaos of twelve oval-shaped ships abruptly landing throughout the globe. The arrival sends the world’s citizens and its leaders into a frenzy; leading to stock market troubles and a declaration of a state of emergency. Ryan L. Fox
They always say that traveling from coast to coast to play a football game can take a toll. However, for the New England Patriots, that was the last thing that they were concerned about. Looking to get on the winning track after suffering a 31-24 loss on Sunday Night Football to the Seattle Seahawks at Gillette, the Pats paid a visit to the San Francisco 49ers in Levis Stadium in Santa Clara, CA, in a Week 11 match up. Or as many in the Boston media would say, a ‘homecoming game’ for QB Tom Brady, who grew up as in the bay area and rooted for the 49ers. However they were going into the game without All-Pro TE Rob Gronkowski, who suffered a chest injury during the loss to Seattle, and WR Chris Hogan, who was dealing with a back injury.

The thrill of the bet is what makes it all worth it, says any winner. If you followed my advice the last two weeks you are loving me. Last week's college picks were not so solid, however for the second straight week I went 2-0 in the pros. This week we practice a safer more cautious approach. Sometimes a good gambler has to take the safe play for less potential money and live to bet another day rather than take the risky play and loose and be forced into gamblers poverty. An extreme example of that is this week's Patriots spread. Although all the bleeding heart Pats faithful believe that Tom Brady is the second coming, the Seahawks proved mighty Tommy and his Pats are indeed mortal. Which makes the fact they are favored by 14 points on the road a little shaky of a wager.

Foot Locker released a new television ad on Wednesday featuring Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady to promote its Week of Greatness campaign. Brady, seated alone at a diner, launches a tirade on two unsuspecting customers - in the form of a thinly-veiled attack on Roger Goodell and the DeflateGate witch-hunt. "Just because something is great year after year, doesn't mean anything is going on," Brady exclaims. "Why can't some things just be great? It starts with questions and then questions turn into assumptions and then assumptions turn into vacations. So why would you punish the Week of Greatness for something that never even happened?"
