Monday is here once again which means its another fantastic night of 990WBOB's Mondays On Blast!!! Featuring the absolute best in live New England music along with hilarious comedy hosted by Doug Key, start your week off right at The Spot on 101 Richmond Street or log on to 990WBOB.COM to listen in to the live broadcast starting at 9pm. With a wide variety of beers & mixed drinks, tasty food and excellent vibes, it's a no-brainer that The Spot is the place to be every Monday to start your week. Tom McBride: To rustle up inspiration for his award-winning third album Morning in Glen Burnie, Tom McBride dug deep into his record collection. The result is a breezy, classic-sounding record that splits the difference between all of McBride’s influences, from the country sway of the Mavericks to the crooning pop of Sam Cooke. It’s the sound of a singer/songwriter working with a well-oiled band. Check out the album here and make sure you come early as Tom opens up the festivities at The Spot tonight. Three Points Of Madness: Heart-opening, passionate music about loss, redemption and the madness in our cities and towns with spangles of sunlight and shades of darkness. That's the best way to describe Three Points Of Madness as they take the stage tonight. The raw rock sound that the band creates hearkens back to the nascent days of classic rock as well as the Metal hey days, while still appealing to modern listeners. Give their Facebook Page a look for more info. 3 Parts Dead: 3 Parts Dead plays rock n' roll with all the subtlety of an atomic bomb. Their brand of fast driving hard drinking rock pummels the senses, taking you on a ride you won't soon forget. And no, they're not going to call you the next day. The snarling melodies of singer/guitarist Mike Patton are positively dripping with attitude, matched by the raunchy playing of lead guitarist Mike "Fitz" Fitzback. That already toxic combination is held together by the earth shaking riffing of bassist JC, and the thunderously hard hitting Ramon Miquilena behind the kit. The overall effect manages to be heavy yet melodic, screaming at you to sing along even as it smashes into your face. Log on to their website here for a sneak peak of what to expect. Six Ten Connector: Six Ten Connector was formed in the winter of 2010. They are presently residing in the Boston/Rhode Island area. This original hard-rock band is made up of Scott Giambanco, Jay Porter, Pat Guthrie and Mike Gualtieri and they also promise to rock your ass until kingdom come. Make sure to catch 'em and check out their Facebook page here. Pals: A 3 piece prog-rock band hailing from North Attleboro that blends sounds influenced by the likes of Incubus, Rush, Iron Maiden, The Mars Volta and a lot of other cool music, Pals are sure to send chills up your spine. They have a high energy show and love to play for everyone and anyone, check out Pals at The Spot this Monday as well as their BandCamp page and you will not be disappointed. As with every Monday at The Spot with 990WBOB, a great time is always guaranteed. Check out 990WBOB's Mondays On Blast page or the Mondays On Blast Facebook event page for more information on what bands will be playing in the future at the ultimate destination to kick the week off right.
