Monday is here once again which means its another fantastic night of 990WBOB's Mondays On Blast!!! Featuring the absolute best in live New England music along with hilarious comedy hosted by Doug Key, start your week off right at The Spot on 101 Richmond Street or log on to 990WBOB.COM to listen in to the live broadcast starting at 9pm. With a wide variety of beers & mixed drinks, tasty food and excellent vibes, it's a no-brainer that The Spot is the place to be every Monday to start your week. Josh Willis: Opening this Mondays On Blast, Josh Willis takes the stage for a commanding singer/songwriter performance. Josh is Artistic Director and Man of All Things at The Spot Underground. There's not much this man can't do. He has become an intimate friend of the WBOB crew and his catchy original tunes are a blessing that our fans will not forget. In this picture Willis is 'evil eyeing' the sound guy for a minor sound adjustment. Make sure you're on point this Monday, Josh certainly will be. Andrew Spatz: An enigmatic singer-songwriter who guarantees to be unlike anything you've ever heard or seen before, Andrew Spatz will be performing at Mondays On Blast tonight. Infectious energy and brilliant songwriting skills makes Spatz a treasure to watch on stage, and all it is is him with an acoustic guitar. Only by himself, he has as much power and brilliance as a full band while at the same time entertaining you with the antics only Spatz himself can act out. You'll be asking yourself, is this real or is it just an act? Regardless, Andrew Spatz' awesome songs are as genuine as they come and definitely something you'll enjoy. Andrew has his debut album Kuh Thee Druhl currently available and you can listen to it right here. Eisenfront: Eisenfront is a band from the Providence area that has been playing together for over 5 years now. They have a strong musical bond that comes across in their music. They have forged there own style combining the improvisational melody driven riffs of guitarist/singer Sean Murphy, the in-your-face, grooving bass-lines of John Staton, and the tastefully heavy hand of Christian Staton on drums. Check their Facebook page out for more information. Sgt. Baker & The Clones: Sgt. Baker & The Clones are a band out of the Providence area of RI. There is no way to exactly explain their music but it's bluesy, groovy and all sorts of weird. Check out their Facebook page and just listen to their tunes and take what pleases you. Senior Discount: An award-winning punk rock band from Providence, Senior Discount has played over 200 shows in states such as RI, MA, VT, NJ, NY, PA, and CT. They've shared the stage with such acts as Gym Class Heroes, Girl Talk, Boys Like Girls, The Bravery, The Ataris, Leftover Crack, Just Surrender, A Wilhelm Scream, the Street Dogs, Zox, Bad Larry, Westbound Train, Monty Are I, Daly's Gone Wrong, Big D and the Kids Table, Brain Failure, Catch 22, Darkbuster, Stealing Jane, Rehab, River City Rebels, Jimmy's Chicken Shack, Someday Providence, Mickey Avalon, Streetlight Manifesto, Sasquatch and the Sick-A-Billys, the Bloodshot Hooligans, Tip The Van, The Loved Ones, MC Lars, Badfish, Mastamindz, Whole Wheat Bread, Suburban Legends, Patent Pending, and many many more. They'll be headlining this week's edition of Mondays On Blast, so make sure to stick around and check out these local legends. As with every Monday at The Spot with 990WBOB, a great time is always guaranteed.
