Rhode Island's own Valencourt (Jeff Lavender) formed in 2004 as a solo acoustic act. Lavender has released a few albums in between then and now under the moniker Valencourt - 2005's "Perfecting Symmetry", 2006's "Paper Brigade", 2008's "For Serious" EP, and most recently, "In Plain English" EP, released on April 5th, 2011. http://valencourt.bandcamp.com/
