RAVI SHAVI is going on a ten day tour across the east coast of beautiful United States of America. This is very special to RAVI SHAVI because this is RAVI SHAVI's first tour.
As it goes, RAVI SHAVI is going to play a show in their hometown so they can play a rocking show that acts as an enzyme which will create good feelings/momentum/ that will be much needed on the road. RAVI SHAVI is so excited about the special friends that will be performing this night. What a bunch of great people: ROZ RASKIN (SOLO SET)- You know this girl, she so nice and talented and confident, she'll make you shake in your boots and say "hey why can't I be like that?!?!?". This girl can sing, play guitar and keys, but most importantly, write some killer tunes. Take notes, bros and sis, and catch Providence music's queen bee playing an intimate and rare solo set. ROSES- Well if you haven't heard of Roses yet, you're missing out but don't blame yourself. Having only played a couple of shows in RI, this band, fronted by Providence staple ANDY T (who was in deer tick and the shivers), plays the best smooth, NYC-circa the velvets rock' n roll in this here town. This CD is in constant rotation in my car. It's catchy, it's fun, it's sentimental, it'll make you dance and look for love across the room. Members include PVD heavyweights MATT DECOSTA and NICK DAWSON. SMITH AND WEEDEN (DUO)- What do we have here, another alternate formation of one of the greatest bands this town has to offer. If RAVI SHAVI wasn't lucky enough, JESSE SMITH and SEAMUS WEEDEN will be offering the sweet, sweet harmonies and in your face jams that has catapulted them to darling status. Everyone likes them, everyone likes their songs. They have just finished tracking their debut full-length at Columbus Recording Company. Come see what these guys are about. Closing out the night will be RAVI SHAVI. The rest of the night's order is TBD. See you all there. There will be sideshow attractions and photo/booth fun. Let us know if you want to do something special that isn't music for this night. THANK YOU WE LOVE YOU. THE MET, JULY 17th. Comments are closed.
