For the final time, Monday is here once again which means its another fantastic night of 990WBOB's Mondays On Blast!!! Featuring the absolute best in live New England music along with hilarious comedy hosted by Doug Key, start your week off right at The Spot on 101 Richmond Street or log on to 990WBOB.COM to listen in to the live broadcast starting at 9pm. With a wide variety of beers & mixed drinks, tasty food and excellent vibes, it's a no-brainer that The Spot is the place to be every Monday to get your weekly dose of entertainment. Check out who we have playing tonight: The Interrobang: Mangling surf-pop with fuzz and noise for the sake of humanity's future, The Interrobang occupy the colorful space where noise-pop, art-punk and surf-rock overlap. They fill that space with harmonically complex songs and abstract lyrics. An up and coming act in the Boston music scene, they'll be starting things off so get there early. Check out their EP that came out this year at their website and enjoy. Adam PC: Adam PC is a six-piece dance rock band from Boston, MA specializing in catchy tunes and BS. The band began as the solo project of Adam Preston Cissell, who released two albums, Townie Does in 2008 and Entendo Tapes in 2009 on his own before asking the rest of the band members to join and play shows together live. As a full band, they recorded and released Orange Girls in March, 2012. Give their Facebook page a look for more info. The Sweet Release: Witness the best styles of classic rock and blues thrown in your face as The Sweet Release tears down venues with original music. Shifting from engaging soft jams to loud, gut-busting breakdowns and solos, Austin, John, Mike, Jimmy, and Corey will not stop for anything. Check out The Sweet Release's Facebook page for more info: Nymphidels: A powerfully spectacular alt-rock duo consisting of Pat Flanagan on drums and Jess Moroney on guitar and vocals, The Nymphidels are huge favorites of ours at 990WBOB and when they turn up the volume on Monday you'll find out why. Groovy tunes that harken back to alt-rock's glory days of the 90's, once you hear this duo perform you will definitely be hooked. The Nymphidels current have their EP, A Band In Places, available and feel free to ask Jess and Pat about it after they play. 990WBOB would like to thank all the bands who played and the people that came to 990WBOB's Mondays On Blast since its inception 2 years ago!!! Please stay locked on to 990WBOB.com to keep yourself updated on further live shows going on in 2014!!!
