Night after night, there's always something great going on in Providence. Here's an overview of the places to be this week. I may end up with a stalker giving you the low down of my evenings, but there's nothing better than a lady that will tie you up and tell you how obsessed she is with you. Ask Krazy Kevin. I'm Torch Monday 3/5 - Tony Jones & The Cretin 3, and This Is A Movement at The Apartment. Mondays On Blast from 990WBOB.COM lines up several bands and comedy every week. This is what a Punk Rock Night is all about. No Cover. 373 Richmond St. Tuesday 3/6 - Creation Tuesdays at The Spot Underground. You can count on great open mic performances and jam sessions from bands around the area. Bring your own instrument and more than likely the guys from the house band, Psychedelic Clown Car, will entice you to join them on stage. No Cover. 15 Elbow St. The Honey Brown Wednesday 3/7 - The Honey Brown is a great local folk band with soft enticing sounds. Starting this Wednesday they will be hosting open mic at The Locals. Bring your guitar and spend a little time with Geoff, Stacy, Matt and Alexandra. The safe bet for good food, great music and a tasty Honey Brown Beer. No Cover. 11 Waterman Ave, North Providence Thursday 3/8 - I really have to give praise to DJ K-Luv. He's been doing a phenomenal job bringing hip hop to The Roots Cafe on Thursdays. What makes this even more unique is K-Luv has teamed up with drummer Erick Cifuentes. What's resulted is great dance music with live beats to keep the energy high. Did I mention the place is consistently busy, and $2 beers!?! Again No Cover. 276 Westminster St. K-Luv @ The Roots Cafe Friday 3/9 - Max Creek at The Met. These guys have been making music since before I was in diapers, and as soon as I could, I was sipping Max Creek kool aid from a sippy cup. I'll be near the front, come find me. $15 Cover. 1005 Main St, Pawtucket Saturday 3/10 - You'll probably be itching for some more of The Honey Brown by now, and Fete in Olneyville is where they will be. Joined by Mike Decosta and Smith &Weeden this is pretty much where the best people in Providence will be Saturday night, so come early and stay late. $8 Cover. 103 Dike St. Mark Cutler Sunday 3/11 - Head back to The Met where they bring you Mark Cutler & Friends for RI Legends Blue Jam. The music will be addictive and bluesy and Mark Cutler always takes the energy to another level. No Cover. 1005 Main St, Pawtucket What other city can you go out 7 Nights a week and pay a total of $23 in cover charges? - Torch Checkout the Events Page Every Week for updates on shows, events, fundraisers, and just general awesomeness by 990WBOB.COM Comments are closed.
