Last Friday night marked a special date in Pawtucket Red Sox history with the inauguration of the PawSox Hall of Fame. PawSox players, coaches, executives, and the McCoy faithful watched as former PawSox beloved team owner and fan favorite, the late Ben Mondor (represented by his widow Madeleine Mondor), along with former PawSox (and Boston Red Sox and MLB Hall of Famers) players OF Jim Rice (1973-74) & Wade Boggs (1980-81) were enshrined into the newly established team hall of fame.
NBA great Amar'e Stoudemire announced his retirement as a player in the National Basketball Association today, after signing with the New York Knickerbockers for his final contract in the league.

Things are getting tighter for the PawSox as the 2016 Triple-A season is a little over a month from ending. Not to mention that next week is the MLB Non-Waiver Trade Deadline and Boston Red Sox President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski has been wheeling and dealing these past couple of weeks. But that is the nature of the beast in Triple-A baseball.
The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) announced today an expanded content partnership that will bring exclusive original live programming and more video to Twitter, Vine and Periscope.
The NBA, through its NBA Digital partnership with Turner, and Twitter will deliver a free live stream of a new weekly NBA pregame show with first-of-its-kind elements created specifically for integration with Twitter conversation. The weekly pregame show will be featured exclusively on Twitter for logged-in and logged-out users. Ahead of the 2016-17 season, the NBA will announce an additional to-be-determined show that will also stream exclusively on Twitter.

Hello to all PawSox fans. Welcome to another edition of the PawSox Weekly Notebook, the guide for all those who want to know what’s going on with their favorite local baseball team. The All-Star break has come and gone, players are rested up, injuries are healed, and even the team has a new look to it (see Player Movement). However with that being said, the PawSox now begin their second half of the season with now the pressure of getting into the playoffs building. That means from here on out, all the games will matter.

Patriots' quarterback, Tom Brady announced today that after 18 months of legal battling between he (the NFLPA) and the NFL, that he no longer intends to appeal his case to the Supreme Court of the United States, and will accept his four-game suspension this season. San Antonio Spurs forward Tim Duncan today announced that he will retire after 19 seasons with the organization. Since drafting Duncan, the Spurs won five championships and posted a 1,072-438 regular season record, giving the team a .710 winning percentage, which is the best 19-year stretch in NBA history and was the best in all of the NBA, NFL, NHL and MLB over the last 19 years.
As announced during a special Final Vote-edition of MLB Now on MLB Network and MLB.com, Michael Saunders of the Toronto Blue Jays and Brandon Belt of the San Francisco Giants were chosen by fans as the winners of the 2016 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Final Vote. Saunders and Belt earned the final two AL and NL All-Star Team roster spots through online voting on MLB.com, the individual Club sites and Twitter, where custom player hashtags counted during the final six hours of voting today.
