Sunday May 11th featured only one game in the NBA playoffs. The Warriors were looking to even the series up at 2-2 against the battle tested spurs. This afternoon matchup provided a thriller in the bay as the warriors were fighting for their playoff lives. It's 2013 in the International League in Triple-A baseball. It also marks the 15th year since the IL expanded from 10 teams to 14 with the addition of the Buffalo Bison, Durham Bulls, Indianapolis Indians, and Louisville Bats. But in more recent years, the Durham Bulls (the Triple-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays) have enjoyed the most success out of the four teams. What is up with the Sox? The team that dominated the month of April has lost its steam. After losing five of their last six games, it is time to ask the question... who are the 2013 Boston Red Sox?
Missed last night's episode of Psycho Sports!? Shame on you! But, we at WBOB are in a forgiving mood, and feel it would be unfair to deprive you from the MOST POWERFUL hour in sports... So for your listening pleasure, here is Episode 61 of Psycho Sports. Yours truly especially loves this line: "The Knicks are not playoff tested and haven't won anything while the Celtics always show up come playoff time." Well after Friday night, those Celtics fans won't be chirping anymore. Sometimes a team's identity is so memorable, that it becomes an international icon. The Yankee Pinstripes, the Cowboy Star, or the Bruins Spoked-B are all easily identifiable from a distance by even the most casual of sports fans. Other teams rely on gimmicks to gain the attention of fans. Sometimes this involves rebranding the team, choosing new colors, and the development of an alternate jersey. Some of these alternate jerseys are straight fire (see: Celtics St. Patrick's Day Unis), but often times, the results are just plain awful. Lets teak a look at some of the worst Alternate Jerseys ever worn! |
