The 2013 NFL free agency event is slowly but surely creeping up to us all in 9 days. Teams will have from now until March 9th to negotiate with any players on their team that are going to be unrestricted free agents. That period could prove quiet interesting since the salary cap is going to be at around $123-$125 million. Before you all go crazy and start worrying whether or not your team is going to kick off one of your favorite players or one of their star players, each team has the ability to designated one player on the team with the Franchise Tag. Sunday February 24, 2013 will be a day in which NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers Jimmie Johnson and Danica Patrick will remember for the rest of their lives. Jimmie Johnson was starting his 400th career Sprint Cup race while Patrick was the first woman to hold the pole starting position (1st) and lead the race in the 55th running of “The Great American Race”, the Daytona 500. At the end of the day the taste ended up being a little bit sweeter for Johnson than Patrick. The UFC made history on Saturday evening with the Debut of Ronda Rousey. Rousey had become a big draw in Strike Force, she had ended all of her fights early in the 1st round with her trademark arm bar. Strike Force was recently bought out by the UFC. Dana White had never wanted to feature women in the past. However, by purchasing Strike Force and seeing the media attention that Ronda Rousey was garnering, White had no choice but to feature Rousey in the UFC's first ever women's bout. Dana White not only featured Rousey, he decided to put her in the main event of UFC 157. This was a bold move, considering the card featured former champions Dan Henderson, Lyoto Machida and Urijah Faber. So, as I am sure you are all aware, the Psycho Sports crew decided to re-write history this week. We took the modern era of the NBA, and re-drafted our own dream teams. Any player who played in the NBA between 1980 and today were elligible, so naturally Chadillac made sure to build his team around Darryl "Chocolate Thunder" Dawkins... and surprisingly left Sam Bowie and Brian Scalabrine on the sidelines. Once we drafted these teams, we wanted to know who had the superior GM skills... So we took our All-Star rosters, and plugged them into the super sports simulator, What If Sports, to see how our teams would matchup with one another, and how these players would coexist on the same roster. Could Lebron have guarded Jordan? How would Magic and Bird fare as teammates? Is Isaiah still a jerk-off in a simulation? These were the questions we set to answer... ** Check Out the Results After The Jump ** |
