It's not often a trend catches the eye of the mainstream media, however #HotJesus has the major news groups scrambling for witty Op-Ed pieces. The hash tag is referring to actor Diogo Morgado who portrays the role of Jesus in the upcoming Hollywood release, titled "Son of God". The film an experience created to be shared among families, brings the story of Jesus’ life to audiences through compelling cinematic storytelling that is both powerful and inspirational. Before the movie is even released it's producers must be thrilled with the social media coverage it has already been fortunate enough to receive. Mike Liberty
U.S. Supreme Court, May 10, 2016 Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the legislative showdown of the century! You're here with us live in the U.S. Supreme Court Chamber and this is Jesse "The Governor " Ventura bringing you all the action in this epic clash of ideologies! As usual, I'm joined here bench side tonight by my friend and color man, the Legendary Lover and former two-time heavy weight President of the United States, Mr. Bill Clinton. How we doin' tonight Bill? Oh I'm doin' real well Jesse, just happy to be out of the house if you know what I mean. I do indeed Bill and if I know you, you're making the most the of it! Tell us Bill, how did we get here tonight and what's at stake? Jesse, this all began a couple of years ago when President Obama authorized the NSA to collect cell phone data from all American citizens. It was a pretty bold move because no American president had ever used the existing system of courts and warrants in quite that way. From an intelligence gathering standpoint, it was revolutionary! Why don't you tell us a little more about that existing system Bill. Bob Giusti - [email protected]
The state roads have resembled a lunar landscape dotted with potholes after all the snow removal this season. Various cities, towns and DOT's budgets have been strained to the max. It's a wonder if they'll be a budget to even patch and fill (let alone resurface). Where will we find the money to care for our infrastructure? Well Governor Lincoln Chafee appears to have joined the ranks of Michigan governor Rick Snyder in calling for their state legislatures to consider boosting road funding by legalizing marijuana to the extent that it would be treated and taxed as tobacco products are today. The Olympics are threw, as are winter vacations. The US government is grinding away harder then ever on multiple issues. Perhaps currently receiving the most attention, is the nation's minimum wage. In this week’s address, President Obama said this is a year of action, and he will do everything he can to restore opportunity for all. The President already lifted the wages for federal contract workers, and he calls on the American people to tell Congress to finish the job by boosting the federal minimum wage for all workers to $10.10 and give America a raise.
