My Father was a veteran of World War II and stormed the beaches at the D-Day invasion. I remember seeing all the scars he had on his body, all form the War. He had a small scar near the left side of his eye caused by a blast of the shrapnel. He suffered from headaches that hurt so bad he would lower the lights and just sit in the living room, looking. And when it rained, his bones would ache. He said it was sleeping in the fox holes for all those years in WWII- Germany-Italy-Africa- so on and so on. He never complained once. He was a man. He worked hard. And he loved his family. Dad was a great man with more integrity than anyone I have ever met.

However the star of the game was not a pitcher, rather it was the PawSox batters. |
