Are you ready for the return of PVDFest? The City of Providence has announced that PVDFest, a spectacular four days of art and music will hit the streets of Providence June 1 - 4, 2017. During the four-day event, artists and performers from around the globe and just around the corner will descend upon Providence for a multicultural and multidimensional celebration of artistic expression. Earlier this week, Mayor Jorge Elorza and Founding Partner FirstWorks announced the schedule for the PVDFest and it's colossal, to say the least. Come June 1, over 800 artists will descend upon Providence in the city-wide event. A collaborative effort, the PVDFest features 13 curators, including AS220, The Dean Hotel, The Downtown Providence Parks Conservancy, as well as community partners from throughout Providence. "PVDFest has grown so much since the first installation," said Mayor Jorge Elorza. "This year's festival builds on the momentum and energy of the past years while incorporating even more of what makes Providence the Creative Capital. From the new 'ideas' conference, to the off-the wall programming in the plaza, PVDFest has something for artists of all mediums. Visitors and residents are sure to be amazed by the talent and creativity this year's festival will offer." Ryan L. Fox
After a rain out back on May 14 washed away his Triple-A debut, Boston Red Sox SP David made his first McCoy Stadium start in front of PawSox fans. Already he had made his first rehab start with the team back on May 19 in Buffalo against the Buffalo Bison (stat line: 2 IP, 5 H, 3 R (3 ER), 1 BB, 4 K on 65 pitches including 41 for strikes). So against the Louisville Bats, Price laced up his cleats and took to the mound to pitch in front of the McCoy faithful. However it didn’t go so well as many thought it would.

An Islamic suicide bomber detonated an explosive device last night in Manchester, England after running into a group of people leaving an Ariana Grande concert. The terrorist took 22 lives and injured 50 more in the attack. ISIS claimed responsibility for the incident according to RT. Leftists will likely respond like they always do. "Islamophobia is not the answer," they'll say. "We will not let this incident change who we are," they'll reiterate. They'll change their Facebook profile picture to a flag, they'll post #PrayForManchester hashtags, they'll blame Trump, they'll look for every excuse in their arsenal to ignore the elephant in the room.
