National online bank, CIT Bank announced Thursday the results of its recent Harris poll showing that Millennials are splurging on Halloween candy, costumes, and décor despite saving less for long-term expenses compared to other demographics.
Millennials expect to spend 2.5 times more than Gen Xers and 8 times more than Boomers on Halloween related items. However, just 38 percent of Millennials say they are preparing for retirement, falling behind Gen Xers (62 percent) and Boomers (48 percent).

Arguably one of the greatest plays of the 20thcentury, Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot has seen countless incarnations since its stage debut in 1952. A who’s who of revered actors have starred as the play’s famous duo, Vladimir and Estragon, including Burgess Meredith and Zero Mostel in 1961 and, more recently, Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellan in 2009 and 2013. For those unfamiliar with the plot, Waiting for Godot centers around a pair of darkly amusing vagabonds named Vladimir and Estragon who await the arrival of a man named Godot. Throughout the play the two men endlessly bicker and ramble; encounter the eccentric Pozzo and his man slave Lucky; muse about life and death; and, of course, contemplate waiting—and not waiting—for Godot.

Recently, the craft beer scene in RI had, what I believe, a major turn in the way that super limited beer releases were handled. Proclamation Ale Company announced online that the sale of their last canning run in West Kingston, would be done via Eventbrite, and that the pre purchase of this release would be very limited to those who could purchase two tickets of the allotment this way. If you could get this golden ticket, you could pick up your cans on Friday or Saturday, at the brewery. If you couldn’t get a ticket you could get pours of these beers on site during this time. The buzz started as soon as this was announced, for real.

Over 8 months ago, the New England Patriots made Super Bowl history. After being down 28-3, they pulled the ultimate comeback and won against the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 down in NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. For months, everybody roasted and made tons of ’28-3’ jokes at the expense of the Falcons for committing the biggest Super Bowl collapse ever. Then there was an attempt at redemption when the schedules came out as it turned out the two teams would face off in Foxborough in Week 7 for a rematch. But then again…history has a tendency to repeat itself. Not so much the same scenario but the same kind of outcome.
Less than a year ago, the Patriots made the comeback of all comeback, famously changing the narrative of the game as they defeated the Atlanta Falcons after trailing 28-3 in the fourth quarter. Only once every four seasons do the AFC East and NFC South square off in the regular season. This is one of those years, as the Falcons (3-2) travel to Gillette stadium as they seek revenge against the team that defeated them in America's most watched event.
