It seemed like an eternity since the New England Patriots last played football. Since their Week 4 loss on Monday Night Football to the Kansas City Chiefs, the Patriots have been battling a COVID-19 outbreak that forced them to reschedule their Week 5 match-up with the Denver Broncos on October 11 to following week on October 18. It was a sloppy game to say the least as there was clearly rust on each team’s offense. That only meant that the game would become a defensive chess battle with each side making a key play to help put their team in position to win. The game itself went down to the wire but in the end, only one teams was going to prevail. Ryan L. Fox
Sometimes finding a good burger in autumn can be a hassle. For those craving for such before the inevitable cold fate known as winter, Wendy’s recently has come out with a whole new burger. Dubbed the Pretzel Bacon Pub burger, Wendy’s is combining a sizzling beef patty with beer cheese (yeah, you read that correctly), bacon, fried onion, and pickles and sticking the whole thing between two pretzel buns. After seeing it being displayed on billboards and in commercials, yours truly had to try it out for myself. Allan Giberti
This Tuesday I have the pleasure of interviewing the host of Justice with Judge Jeanine, Judge Jeanine Pirro. With less than a month before the 2020 elections, there is certainly not a shortage of things to discuss with Judge Jeanine. There’s the upcoming election and everything that has led us to this point in history. Things like spygate, the Democrats, the Russian collusion hoax, Super Patriot James Comey and his band of miscreants, the fake impeachment, the Chinese coronavirus, social justice, social unrest, socialism, Kamala Harris and her acting Presidential running mate Sleepy Uncle Joe Biden are all threads in an elaborate tapestry of lies and deceit. It is impossible to pull on one without unraveling the others. So, obviously one of the things I definitely want to talk to Judge Pirro about is her new book, Don’t Lie to Me: And Stop Trying to Steal Our Freedom, which touches on all of those things. Her book also highlights the one thing they have in common, an unrelenting stream of lies built upon lies, repeated over and over by people who know better and served up as the truth to the American people by a media that does know better. Spike Cohen, the Libertarian vice presidential candidate, joined Tyler Salk on The Wild Side earlier this week. He spoke broadly of the “Republicrats” in Washington who maintain the status quo of forever wars and national debt without listening to — or solving — the problems of Americans. “[The Republicrats] have a vested interest in making sure we aren’t heard,” Cohen said. “They control every lever of power and media to do that.” Perhaps that’s true. Those in power get to write the rules. As Cohen pointed out, equal airtime laws don’t apply to third parties, and third parties have to fight tooth-and-nail to get on the ballot while Democrats and Republicans receive that honor automatically. But simply complaining about the rules isn’t enough — you have to be in power to change them. Allan Giberti
The first presidential debate may be over but the public debate continues with the same passion we saw from President Trump last Tuesday night. The President’s base, Republicans, patriots, are tired of it and are fighting back with the truth and the Democrat party is giving them plenty of ammo. People who are able to think for themselves and whose actions are not guided solely by their emotions see what’s been happening. Yet, why are there still some people, despite being shown actual proof to the contrary, choose to believe lies? Ironically, it all because of the hatred of one man and that hatred is based on those very lies. |
