Allan Giberti The first presidential debate may be over but the public debate continues with the same passion we saw from President Trump last Tuesday night. The President’s base, Republicans, patriots, are tired of it and are fighting back with the truth and the Democrat party is giving them plenty of ammo. People who are able to think for themselves and whose actions are not guided solely by their emotions see what’s been happening. Yet, why are there still some people, despite being shown actual proof to the contrary, choose to believe lies? Ironically, it all because of the hatred of one man and that hatred is based on those very lies. According to Psychology Today, “Gaslighting is an insidious form of manipulation and psychological control. Victims of gaslighting are deliberately and systematically fed false information that leads them to question what they know to be true, often about themselves. They may end up doubting their memory, their perception, and even their sanity. Over time, a gaslighter’s manipulations can grow more complex and potent, making it increasingly difficult for the victim to see the truth.” You’ll be hard pressed to find someone who doesn’t think that 2020 played out more like late night cable drama series destined for cancellation, because it was that unbelievable. But what was even more unbelievable were the blatant and obvious lies cooked up by the Democrat party, served up as fact by the liberal mainstream media and Hollywood elites and then consumed by some Democrat voters. How do you keep that crap down? After multiple investigations found zero evidence of collusion between Russian and the Trump campaign, the witch hunt continued into 2020 with the House Democrats further embarrassing the nation by impeaching President Trump. Let me remind you, an impeachment that was originally about quid pro quo and quickly devolved to “abuse of power” and “obstruction of Congress.” First, what is quid pro quo? It’s just another version of tit for tat, you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours. It all started because a “whistleblower” was “concerned” about a phone call between President Trump and the Ukrainian President. The “whistleblower” alleged that the President abused his power by forcing the Ukrainian President into a mafia style tit for tat situation. In reality, the conversation was about legitimate concerns regarding then Vice President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden and his Ukraine business dealings. When you cut out all the fat, all the Democrats were left with were allegations of wrongdoing that were all tit and no tat. None of that is really important because the House Democrats impeachment of President Trump, really began back in 2016. Because of the “urgency” to remove the President from office and rushing through impeachment, Nancy Pelosi then refrained from sending those very articles of impeachment over to the Senate until January 15th. After telling the American people once again about “an overwhelming amount of evidence” suggesting “serious misconduct” by President Trump, the Democrats show up to the US Senate impeachment trial with a boatload of hurt feelings and zero evidence of any wrongdoing by the President. The Democrats brought Congress to a standstill over their fake impeachment of President Trump and it all ended on February 5th when the Senate voted to acquit the President on both articles of impeachment. Even more Americans found themselves disagreeing with the Democrat party’s lies they’ve been fed. After the fake impeachment, the nation’s attention quickly turned to the Chinese coronavirus and it has remained in the forefront ever since. However, what the Democrats are peddling today about COVID-19 is very different from what they were trying to sell you at the beginning of this pandemic. According to every Democrat talking head, President Trump is responsible for everything and every death because of his inaction at the beginning of the pandemic and his failure to stop the spread of the virus. Unfortunately for the Democrats the timeline of events and the facts, show otherwise. All the cool Democrats say, “If only he had acted sooner,” and my question is when? How much sooner? President Trump shut down travel from China on Joe Biden has often speculated what would have happened if the President had acted a week earlier. I’m sure he’s not talking about January 31st when President Trump declared a national health emergency and imposed a ban on travel to and from China. Because that same day during a campaign event in Fort Madison, Iowa Biden called the ban hysterical and xenophobic. Something Joe Biden denied saying in the first debate. Another lie. Biden only agreed with the ban months later and finally agreed with the scientists, then denied saying that too at the debate. Add on another lie but he must be talking earlier than this. And February 14th is obviously in the wrong direction, because that’s when Nancy Pelosi told everyone to come on down to Chinatown, because “Everything is fine here.” It’s definitely way before that Up until January 14th, the W.H.O. claimed that there had been no human-to-human transmission of the coronavirus. It wasn’t until January 21st that the CDC and the W.H.O. confirmed human to human transmission and the prevailing science at the time told us the risks were low. “Right now, 2019-nCoV has not been found to be spreading widely in the United States, so CDC deems the immediate risk from this virus to the general public to be low.” January 27th, President Trump convened the Coronavirus Task force to deal with the growing coronavirus threat. Are Joe Biden and the rest of the Democrats seriously suggesting that President Trump should have begun formulating a strategy to combat a low risk virus that the scientists had yet to confirm was even spread through person to person contact? Again, my question is when should President Trump have acted? I’ll wait but I’m not expecting an answer. It’s not like Congress could have done anything, because thanks to Nancy Pelosi (who stretched this sham out for weeks longer than it needed to be) and the rest of her lot, they were too busy chasing a rabbit down a butthole and feeding you more crap. This is a very recent history. The Democrats ushered in 2020 with a lie and when that all-consuming lie failed have now shifted to blaming the President for, as Nancy “Everything is Fine Here” Pelosi put it, denying and delaying about the Chinese coronavirus when it was, as usual, the Democrats who actually did it. It’s literally one lie after another. In fact, the lies come so often you don’t have time to correct one before another gaslighted liberal spews another whopper. Now, President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have both tested positive for the Chinese coronavirus. While many across the isle have put aside partisan differences and wished the President and the First Lady a speedy recovery, others in the public eye have not been so adult about it and yes, Americans are tired of that too. The politicization of anyone’s suffering should not be the hallmark of your political party and no one is surprised or outraged when liberal Democrats do it. The Democrat party wielded “abuse of power” and “obstruction of Congress” as a political weapon against President Trump and the truth of the matter is, it was actions taken by Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler and the rest of the gang that abused their power to bring about the fake impeachment and thereby obstructed Congress from focusing on real issues, such as COVID-19. If anyone failed to act, it was the Democrats. Allan Giberti is the host of RI Red Radio on 990WBOB.com. You can listen to Allan live on Mondays and Tuesdays at 7pm Eastern Read More 990WBOB |
