FOX: Top 5 Non-Super Bowl Things to Watch

The Super Bowl, football’s ultimate gladiatorial arena for the sport’s ultimate glory. Thirty-two teams competed at the beginning and it now boils down to two. On one side, you have the seasoned, well-oiled machine that is the New England Patriots and on the other, you have the high-flying, soaring Atlanta Falcons. But by the end of this upcoming Sunday in Super Bowl LI, one shall stand…one shall fall.

However….there are some out there who are either not really interested in the game because either your team is not in it or you just don’t care for the sport.

Honourable Mention: Netflix

Don’t want to watch the Super Bowl but can’t find anything good on the telly? Well then just pop on Netflix (or Hulu if you’re into that kind of stuff), grab a drink and snack, and just hit play. Before you know it, you’ll be off watching what you want to watch and not have to worry about cheesy ads.

5. Mythbusters

Channel: Science Channel

If you’re more of a science guy or gal, head on over to the Science Channel. All day, Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman will be taking on all the science myths that were created (either by rumor or by Hollywood) and seeing whether or not they can be busted or not. Just remember folks, they’re trained professionals and don’t try it at home. You don’t want to make the news after the big game.

Channel: Comedy Central

I can go into detail of what this show is about (i.e. political humor, poking fun at hot topics in society), but I rather have this explain it more.

3. Walking Dead

Channel: AMC

It’s not a Super Bowl Sunday without a mention of a TV-show marathon of some sort whether it’s a science channel, movie channel, or on just any channel for that matter. However if there’s one marathon you want to checkout, it’s of course the Walking Dead on AMC. Throughout the entire day, all the episodes from the first two seasons of the Walking Dead will be airing. See where it all began, the remnants of humanity struggling to survive in a world overrun by zombies while at the same time trying to survive each other.

1. (Tied) The Kitten Bowl & Puppy Bowl XIII

Channel: Hallmark Channel for Kitten Bowl & Animal Planet for Puppy Bowl

For the first time ever on a Fox Top 5, we have a tie between the Hallmark Channel’s Kitten Bowl and the Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl XIII. Yes, it is a sports theme and yes, the premise is football related. But just look at the pictures and tell me you wouldn’t mind watching hours of puppies and kitties frolicking around in such an adorable matter. Tom Brady could win the MVP but it still won't compare to seeing a Labrador puppy wearing a TB12 jersey while gnawing playfully on a football or a orange tabby kitty batting around a little mouse toy.
